A Movie to See

Yesterday, Tom and I saw the movie, Particle Fever. Stunningly beautiful! For years, I have told my students that math is a "language," and here they are, these amazing and interesting people, who SPEAK that language at a level that makes me feel like a two-year-old! The mysteries that are the stuff of their daily lives and work are so mind boggling that I cannot even begin to pretend to understand it all. I only feel privileged to have been allowed to listen in around the edges of the magic.
