Our T's surgery went well today. No unexpected complications, and we were able to bring her home this afternoon.
She's resting pretty comfortably -- medicated and tired, but on her way to healing and health again.
We're tired, but very relieved and just happy to have her home here with us tonight...

jack asks: "Tell me Heron Clan…. At times, do you feel you are being forced into a painful and repetitive rut? Do calamities seem to follow in endless succession? "
ReplyDeleteWell, jack, it can seem that way sometimes. One of the mathematical realities of living in a poly household is that more adults makes for more adult-type health issues (it would seem).
Right now, though, I don't think we are feeling "beleaguered" so much as "lucky." You see, we've been through worse; much worse. Especially with our Dear T, things have gotten downright scary and life-threatening in the past, and so, when we can report that one of these brushes with the medical establishment went "as planned and with no complications," we feel lucky indeed.
It has been said, probably here once or twice, that getting older is not for sissies. Ain't it the truth? I'd add to that one more truism -- falling in love (being in love) isn't for sissies either.
We just keep on doing it. What the heck?

*hugs* good thoughts to you all.. :)
ReplyDeleteBut at least falling in love means that you are alive and fighting, which has to be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Paul.
I'm glad she's well, hopefully everyone can get some much needed rest and happiness :)
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Thinking of all of you, and sending hugs...
ReplyDeleteSo glad she is home with you all and resting! *hugs*
