More Tales from the Schoolroom: Epilogue

Today swan learned that one of her three big bad boys who hugged her Friday afternoon when she popped back in after her day away at the professional in-service was diagnosed today with H1N1 flu. No good deed ever goes unpunished:)

Life is truly stranger than fiction. I think I'll go wash my hands a hundred times now:)

All the best,

Tom

  2. Oh no. i am worried that my daughter who is at university has it but the darn campus clinic didn't test her cause her fever wasn't over 101. Take care, it kicks your butt, hope swans immune system shrugs it off :)

  5. Aw, poor kid.

BTW Ron found an item that I was going to post about soon, but I'll tell you now, ColdFX actually helps you avoid catching H1N1 and also the common cold. It boosts the immune system. We have taken it for 2 years now, Sept to April, and haven't had a cold in that time. Available over the counter.

  6. I have to laugh - my school was closed for 3 days last year due to one of our students being exposed to a family member who had been to Mexico and gotten the flu. The student was never even in the building - can you imagine what they would have done if the child had actually attended school after the exposure??

I trust you are all getting or have gotten your flu shots, and I know that's no guarantee, but I'm also hoping that your healthier lifestyle has built up your immune systems so that this won't be an issue.

Before I went to the Dr 2 weeks ago I was mildly afraid that they would tell me I had the flu (I know it's odd but I was thankful it was an upper respiratory infection!) I couldn't imagine how I would tell the school if it turned out to be flu, lol.

  7. Master and I got flu shots this evening. T will get hers tomorrow. They tell us they will have vaccine for H1N1 sometime in the early to mid-part of October. By then, this one should be just about to the effective place. It is as early as any other source of the vaccines that we've been able to find -- including our doctor. So that's one step in keeping us all healthy.
